Saucy Sunday : Peanut Sauce

Creamy, sweet, savory, versatile peanut sauce to dip, dress, saute, or mix into any number of dishes! We’ll use this later in the week for chicken kabobs.. thanks to my weekly meal plan, we’re ahead of the game! More on that to come. Many of you sent feedback that you’d like to learn more about how I meal plan - so - I’ll be sharing my ideas soon!

Let’s talk Sambal Oelek - the hot sauce that can literally do anything. It’s a prepared Indonesian chili paste made from crushed red chiles, salt, and vinegar, and is super, super flavorful. What about the heat? Well, one tablespoon Sambal is roughly the equivalent to one small jalapeño. It lasts forever, helps kick up any dressing, mayo, ketchup, or sauce, and it’s one of my faves. Add it to your next prime order and give it a try!

Now, let’s make the peanut sauce!

What You’ll Need:

-1/2 cup peanut or almond butter

-1 tablespoon ginger - straight from the freezer..check out my post!

-1 garlic clove - minced

-1 tablespoon sambal

-1 tablespoon fish sauce

-2 tablespoons rice wine vinegar

-1 tablespoon lime juice

-4 tablespoons water

-2 tablespoons sugar

Method:

Everyone in the bowl, whisk until smooth. Alternatively, you could make this in a blender for an even smoother consistency!

Thanks for stopping by everyone, enjoy Labor Day Weekend!
