Saucy Sunday : Two Good to Be True
It’s Sunday ya’ll, and you know what that means… another couple sauces for your collection! That’s right, two sauces / dressings today!
One of them will be showcased for What To Do With It Wednesday, so stay tuned for that!
Check out my blog post for ‘Burner Jalapeños’ to learn how to char and de-seed peppers. You’ll need to do this for both jalapeños and poblanos in these recipes.
On with the important stuff…
First up, Roasted Jalapeño Ranch
What You’ll Need:
-1 cup sour cream
-1/2 bunch cilantro - stems ok too!
-2 roasted and seeded jalapeños - chopped
-zest and juice of 1 lime
-1 1/2 tablespoon hidden valley ranch powder (packet) need some?
-1/4 teaspoon salt
-4 tablespoons water
Method:
Everyone in the blender until smooth, it’s that easy! Makes about 2 cups.
Next, Poblano Blue Cheese Dressing:
What You’ll Need:
-1 medium poblano pepper - charred, skin and seeds removed then chopped
-1 cup favorite blue cheese dressing - I’m using Ken’s Steakhouse Chunky Blue Cheese
-1 avocado
-1 teaspoon cumin
-1/2 cup water

Everyone in the blender until smooth!
